Prague Early Childhood Center is proud to announce its 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year is Mrs. Margaret Freeze. She was joined today when we announced her as the winner with some of her family. Pictured are Amber Freeze, Nick Freeze, Mrs. Margaret Freeze, her granddaughter, Blakely Freeze, and lastly, retired ECC teacher, and Mrs. Freeze's sister, Mrs. Jonna Opela.
Teacher of the Year is chosen by other teachers, so it is a special award for what it represents, but also because it is a peer award. Here is what one of the teachers said in her nomination for Mrs. Freeze. "Mrs. Freeze is a one of a kind teacher who holds her students accountable and pushes them to be their very best at the same time. Her students come out being better all around. They read, write, listen and have fun too. That is the best kind of Kindergarten classroom a parent could ask for. She deserves to be the teacher of the year because of all she pours into her students and the classroom. Her overall personality helps the ECC to grow and shine each year." Our staff is proud and honored to work alongside a colleague who has had such an incredible impact on so many students, staff, and the community.
