We love celebrating with our students when they achieve their goals! This group of 1st graders have achieved 20 AR points to have Pizza with the Principal 🍕 Next round of students coming soon! Shout out to Ken's Pizza for making this possible. We truly appreciate everything they do for our school!!

Every year during this week, we take time to honor our counselors. Our counselor is Mrs. Aubree Holsapple. She is extra amazing because she works not only with the ECC teachers and students, but also with the elementary staff and students. She is always busy with something. She supports many facets of our campus that incredibly important, that simply wouldn't work without her special approach. She helps reinforce positive behaviors with activities that teach our littles about belonging, friendship, and kindness. She supports programs and testing for our second language learners. Mrs. Holsapple has also taken on the role of supporting and managing our MTSS process, and she has been a mentor for that each step of the way as both campuses have begun full implementation of it this year. Though Mrs. Holsapple moved out of the special education classroom and back into the counselor role this year, she uses her classroom knowledge to help children and staff find balance and achieve successes, and we are so proud to work with the professional that Mrs. Holsapple is each and every day. Happy National Counselor's Week!

Each year, campus staffs are tasked with choosing a teacher from among themselves who they feel is outstanding as a teacher for their campus. These are teachers who are exceptional and dedicated educators, who are also amazing communicators. They demonstrate creativity in their teaching and they have the ability to inspire their students and those around them. The ECC is proud to announce our winner for Teacher of the Year, Ms. Leslie Kroutil, also known as Ms. K, who teaches kindergarten. She meets students where they are and helps them to learn and experience school in ways that challenge and excite them. She is kind, patient, and loving, while also maintaining high expectations for learning. In her classroom, when students do well, you may hear her say, "Kiss your brain," for smart thinking. We are truly proud to have Ms. K at the ECC and today we celebrate her contributions to the students and staff of Prague Schools. Congratulations!

For the safety of our students and staff we are taking cover as soon as students arrive this morning and will remain in our safe spaces until the inclement weather has passed. If you have a high school student please drop them off at the ECC. Elementary and Middle school may be dropped at each of those sites and will then take cover with their teachers.
