Special congratulations to Blakely Mayes in Mrs. Slough's KG class 🎉 She sold the most raffle tickets at the ECC for the Fall Carnival and earned the $25 prize. Way to go - we are so proud of you!

Retake Day is Monday, November 17th. Please send your student's pictures back with them if you would like to have retakes. If your student was not here for picture day back in October, they will need to have their picture made.

We're excited to share that the ECC and Prague Elementary are partnering with Books Are Fun and the Book Blast program to help put brand-new, age-appropriate books into the hands of every one of our students beginning Monday, November 3!

Here's why we love Book Blast:

*100% of all contributions go directly to books and classroom needs.
*The book list is thoughtfully curated and truly engaging.

Your student will also be bringing home a printed Treasure Map—this is their ticket to joining the fun, earning books, and unlocking some great prizes. Principals at Prague ECC and Prague Elementary

Arlington Fire Department and Prague Fire Department along with Farm Bureau’s Fire House helped our ECC students learn about fire safety today! The kids got to see what it’s like to be rescued, the tools the firefighters use and what they should know to do when there is a fire in their home. Thank you to these volunteers for coming out to teach our students. We appreciate all you do!!!

We had an excellent group of football players greeting and reading to our ECC kids this morning! They even got in on our Fire Safety Day fun ❤️

Mrs. Jeannette Smith's PreK class had an apple tasting this week. They voted on which apples tasted better - green, red or red/yellow. RED WON 🍎

Just a friendly reminder regarding the After School Program for Thursday this week. Due to the Fall Carnival, ASP will be cancelled for Thursday so staff can set up. We hope to see you there!

ECC and Elementary Staff

The ECC would like to congratulate Ann Evig on being the staff member that was chosen by several other peers for being our MVP. When Kip Shubert visited our school district this summer, he talked about having the Secret Sauce for working with kids and each other. Ann has got the Secret Sauce. Other teachers nominated her for her approach with students and for how she works as a team player. Way to go Ann for being our MVP!

Just a reminder that Parent Teacher Conferences are this week!
They are on Tuesday, 9/16, and also on Thursday, 9/18, from 4:00-7:00 PM.
**There will be no After School Program on those days.**

No school on Friday, Sept. 19!

A message from the cafeteria at the ECC/Community Center: Our cooler went down sometime over the weekend. We are supposed to do yogurt Monday morning, but it was in the cooler and is no longer good. We are now going to do cereal, toast, and fruit for everyone. So sorry for the inconvenience.

*Last day to enroll in the After School Program is Thursday, August 21.
*No school for students this Friday, August 22.
*After School Program starts on Monday, August 25.
