Thankful for our kiddos at the ECC!!! Here are some pictures of them enjoying their class Thanksgiving festivities 🦃❤️🍁

Retake Day is Monday, November 17th. Please send your student's pictures back with them if you would like to have retakes. If your student was not here for picture day back in October, they will need to have their picture made.

Our mission to level up our readers has never been so much fun! We’re blasting through our adventure to earn as many books as possible for our children. Today, we announced the winner of the $100 Shopping Spree.
Congratulations, to our winner in Mrs. Friend's 1st Grade Class, Carter Pitts!

Dear Families,
We're excited to share that the ECC and Prague Elementary are partnering with Books Are Fun and the Book Blast program to help put brand-new, age-appropriate books into the hands of every one of our students beginning Monday, November 3!
Here's why we love Book Blast:
*Every student receives books they'll love and want to read.
*100% of all contributions go directly to books and classroom needs.
*The book list is thoughtfully curated and truly engaging.
I will send another message with more details soon! Your student will also be bringing home a printed Treasure Map—this is their ticket to joining the fun, earning books, and unlocking some great prizes. It's simple, exciting, and encourages reading at home. In the meantime, you can learn more about Books Are Fun and the Book Blast program here: https://www.booksarefun.com/testimonials
We're looking forward to a great kickoff. Let's keep reading!

Arlington Fire Department and Prague Fire Department along with Farm Bureau’s Fire House helped our ECC students learn about fire safety today! The kids got to see what it’s like to be rescued, the tools the firefighters use and what they should know to do when there is a fire in their home. Thank you to these volunteers for coming out to teach our students. We appreciate all you do!!!

We had an excellent group of football players greeting and reading to our ECC kids this morning! They even got in on our Fire Safety Day fun ❤️

Mrs. Jeannette Smith's PreK class had an apple tasting this week. They voted on which apples tasted better - green, red or red/yellow. RED WON 🍎

Families,
Just a friendly reminder regarding the After School Program for Thursday this week. Due to the Fall Carnival, ASP will be cancelled for Thursday so staff can set up. We hope to see you there!

The ECC would like to congratulate Ann Evig on being the staff member that was chosen by several other peers for being our MVP. When Kip Shubert visited our school district this summer, he talked about having the Secret Sauce for working with kids and each other. Ann has got the Secret Sauce. Other teachers nominated her for her approach with students and for how she works as a team player. Way to go Ann for being our MVP!

Come on out to our Fall Carnival this Thursday, Oct. 23, from 5:00-7:00 PM!

Families,
A flyer is coming home today all about our fundraiser, and it's all about school spirit!

ECC Pick Up Line Reminders

Happy First Day of School! We are so excited to welcome everyone back to school, and welcome to our Pre-K kiddos for the first time!!

Kinder Parents,
Please join us at the ECC on Meet the Teacher Night for our first ever Kinder Signing Day, where your child will sign and be "committed" to the Prague ECC this school year! Think of it sort of like when the big kids sign that they're attending a college, trade school, or branch of the armed forces in the fall. We will have special pencils to sign with, a spot for you to take a picture of your child signing, a special Signing Day certificate you can take home, and more! We look forward to seeing you there! Pre-K and 1st Grade students, don't worry, there's something special for you too. Be sure to come meet your teacher and see your friends again and hug last year's teacher one more time. Our time is 5:30-6:30, and remember school starts for everyone on Thursday, August 14! I can hardly wait to see you all

ECC Back to School Supply List 2025-2026

Summer Reading Program kicks off tomorrow, Tuesday, June 10, 8:30-10:30 for those who turned in their forms. Pick up and drop offs are at the elementary. See you there!
On Monday, May 12, the ECC celebrated Mrs. Fridrich and her 34 year legacy teaching first grade at Prague Early Childhood Center. Many former and current teachers and students came out to pay tribute to a teacher who has led instruction and taught generations of families to read in this community. Congratulations to Mrs. Fridrich! Thank you for the work you have done and the love you have poured out into our students over the years. You've seen students grow up and return with their own children, and now some of them with their grandchildren. Now it is Mrs. Fridrich's turn. Her retirement has been timed just right to greet her first grandchild into the world this summer. She will always be a teacher at heart, but she is making plenty of room for a new role that is very special, one her new little love will soon call her: Gigi. Congratulations!
